Malava MP Moses Injendi alleged to be cheated by Governor Oparanya on BBI, vows to support DP Ruto

Malava MP Moses Injendi sends an apology to his constituents for the recent move to support Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) saying some leader duped him.

“I don’t know what happened. I only found myself at the midst of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya. I am not for reggae and I sincerely apologize to my constituents over the move I took then. Am now back home,” said Mr Injendi.



 “I want to tell Raila Odinga that I didn’t intend to meet him. It was Mr Oparanya who tricked me. I refuse to be linked with issues to do with reggae,” he added.


The MP was addressing people at his home in Malava, Kakamega County on Friday during a meeting with Deputy President William Ruto and other area leaders.


On his part, DP Ruto asked BBI champions to provide Kenyans with copies of the report to enable them make well-read decisions.


“Before telling Kenyans to back or reject the document, they should first be given copies of the report so that they can read and understand it before making their decisions,” said Dr Ruto.


“Why are Kenyans being told to prepare to vote Yes or No on a document that they have not seen or read?” he posed.


Tere is a plot by some leaders to threaten the intelligence and capacity of Kenyans to make sound decisions by rejecting them copies of the BBI report.


DP William Ruto also wondered why some leaders were being arrogant on matters of BBI.
