Police officers in Nyamarabe probe on tear Gas

Police officers in Nyamarabe, Gucha South Sub-County in Kisii County are probing circumstances under which their associate hurled a teargas canister into his girlfriend's house and then escaped.

His girlfriend's 15-year-old daughter was in the house at the time. However, she escaped the incident unharmed.

The teen saw the man, whom she recognised as her mother’s boyfriend Constable Richard Bosire.

He tossed the teargas, which exploded in her bedroom.

The child maintained that she knew the man as cop Richard Bosire, who is assigned to Rakwaro Police Station in Rongo Sub-County, Migori County.

“Mum was away when Bosire came over,” the 15-year-old girl told police.

In a report filed under the OB Number 29/6/12/2020 at the Nyamarabe Police Station, the girl said she “does not know” why Bosire threw the teargas inside her mother’s house.

Police seized a fractured canister, which is an exhibit as investigations into the incident continue.
