Manu Chandaria

 

Three suspects amongst them Police officers arrested after robbing Billionaire Manu Chandaria’s home on Sunday night and are detained at the Muthaiga Police Station.


The suspects involve an Administration Police officer and two G4S officers who doubles to be guards at the billionaire residence.


Nairobi County police boss Rashid Yakubu said they are questioning the three officers after it was recorded that gold and jewellery items of an unknown value were stolen.


The armed robbers are also said to have made away with over Ksh.600,000 during the incident in which they are said to have tied up the guards on duty in a room before fleeing towards Karura forest.


The police boss added that the officers from Muthaiga who reacted to the trouble call recovered a gun belonging to the AP officer who was also stationed to Chandaria’s palatial home.


The police boss explained that preliminary investigations show that the incident was an inside job, adding that the truth will be proved.


The Police boss also added that nobody was however injured during the incident.
