Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo

After starting a campaign with disappointing results, Wolves were in another frustrating evening on Wednesday when beating 2-1 by Everton at Molineux.


After a good run in the last two seasons, Wolves are now sinking to 14th spot in the Premier League standings.


Each of Wolves’ last two league victories came at Molineux.

Now they are looking for a home advantage again in the first Saturday’s Black Country Derby after nine years.

Wolverhampton Wanderers host West Bromwich Albion in the first Black Country derby in nine years on Saturday.


The last meeting between the two ended in a calamitous 5-1 defeat for Wolves but their recovery since has been breathtaking.

In an eventful nine years, Wolves have gained from back-to-back relegations to League One to reach the 2019/20 Europa League quarter-finals under Nuno Espirito Santo.


The Portuguese boss has lined-up without their superstrike, Raul Jimenez. They are huge favourites to win Saturday's game, despite a miserable run of form in the Premier League which has seen them take five points from the last 24 on offer.
