ODM leader Raila Odinga forced to cut his public address and flee at Githurai roundabout on Wednesday.
He was addressing people along the Thika-Nairobi highway. Unruly youths interrupted the event that forced him to suspend his address.
The rowdy youths assailed the roadside rally chanting pro-Ruto slogans, leading to a dispute with other rally attendees.
Police officers intervened, began hurling teargas to scuttle the rowdy youths.
Several people got injured in the scuffle that ensued.
Raila made the roadside stopover after holding a meeting with business leaders at Homeland on the Thika-Nairobi highway.
