ODM leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday said everything has been done and they are not bothered by the court orders blocking IEBC from expediting the BBI poll.

The Building Bridges Initiative(BBI) experienced a major setback on Monday after the High Court suspended IEBC from exhibiting the constitutional amendment Bill 2020 to the county assemblies for consideration.

In a ruling given by a five-judge bench, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) was tentatively suspended from presenting the Bill to the counties pending hearing and determination of seven petitions filed questioning the process.

But on Wednesday, Raila demonstrated exclusive confidence saying the process of law change at the assemblies and parliament will not be halted.

"We are not worried, the courts also know the urgency of the matter. By the time the matter will be coming up to the IEBC, they shall have resolved the matter," Raila said.

The County assemblies have 90 days to table, discuss and vote on the referendum bill.
