Despite schools being open, several students have been at home citing school fees.

Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire had to intervene where the majority of the students saying they were sent-off due to school fees balances.

" The process of registering all new secondary schools in Ganze constituency should be enhanced and all secondary school students should be in schools but not loitering in the streets or doing anything else at their homes, " Hon. Teddy Mwambire said.

These were the resolutions made after the Ganze MP had a courtesy call with the Ganze Sub - County Education Officer, Mr Rashid Mjimba on Monday 15th February 2021.

"The fact that the Ganze NG - CDF Bursary hasn't been released should never be an excuse for most secondary school students to drop out of school, " he added.

"There should be proper engagements with all partners to reach a common ground which must be favourable to the students.

"Let the secondary school administrators, parents and other actors come together in mitigating the situation.

"The current hardship challenges in the constituency require a special consideration but not what is going on unless some administrators among other actors are staging to collapse the gains we have achieved after a long struggle, " the MP concluded.

The legislator urged the education stakeholders to consider the state of education in the area and allow students back in school awaiting national government bursary drive.
