Juja Police officers launch a search of a driver and his tout after two passengers thrown out of their moving vehicle near JKUAT Main Campus.

The incident led to the death of one of the victims.

Juja OCS Dorothy Mugarisha said that the incident reported on Saturday, February 6, when the two victims walked into the station after being kicked out forcefully of the moving Matatu over a transport fare dispute.

At the time, Mugarisha said the two victims, John Njoroge and 26-year-old Judy Wanjiku Nyaga, seemed to have contracted slight injuries on their hands and legs.

Eyewitnesses said that the matatu driver purportedly wanted to overrun them after his tout tossed them out of the moving vehicle.

But spectators responded instantly and pulled them out of the path.

After the incident, the victims were treated at a Ruiru hospital and discharged.

However, on Sunday, a brother of the injured woman notified the Juja OCS that her sister later complained of headaches and was taken to Thika Level V Hospital where she was proclaimed dead on arrival.

Following the fatality report, Mugarisha said that they traced the Memba Saccor vehicle involved in the incident to Mwea where it was seized and taken to the local police station.

Now police launched searching for the rogue driver and his tout.
