A Lugari pastor, Kakamega County was on Thursday, February 18 caught in bed with his neighbour’s wife, who is seven and half months pregnant.
The woman’s husband, who works in Nakuru County, turned home without noticing anyone, and caught the pastor, Peter Afagara, in bed with his spouse at 4 am. The incident happened in Mukuyu, Mautuma area in Lugari Sub-County.
The woman’s husband said he had been notified by a neighbour that his wife was quietly seeing the pastor when the husband was away in Nakuru.
“On Wednesday night, I travelled to Lugari from Nakuru without alerting my wife. At 4 am, I went home secretly, and caught the pastor in the act with my partner,” the husband narrated the ordeal.
Immediately after the disappointing discovery, the aggrieved man informed village elders about his predicament.
Appearing before the elders, the woman and her husband started a fight blaming each other, with the wife accusing her spouse of abandoning her.
The pastor, Peter Afagara, on the other hand, admitted guilt and asked his lover’s partner to forgive him.
The elders ruled Afagara should pay a fine, which will be given to his lover’s spouse as damages for the humiliation caused.
The woman and her husband, on the other hand, were left arguing, with the man suggesting he would divorce the wife over her unfaithfulness.
The pastor was charged Sh 600,000 for his action.
