Tanzania government wants people, organizations and businesses across East Africa to donate in a campaign #Tokomezacorona.
The government unveiled plans of helping its citizens to fight the pandemic.
Tanzania also unveiled an account number where people will donate through the Tanzania Central bank account.
The ministry of health in Tanzania urged its citizens to follow regular set protocols by WHO to fight the virus.
The Tanzania Health Minister Dorothy Gwajima said last week that the country has no plans of buying vaccines or any drugs from abroad and has fully incorporated local medicine in the fight.
WHO appealed to Tanzania to reconsider its move saying ignoring such measures could lead to undesirable results across the East African country.
