Ex-Chief Justice David Maraga sues Senior Counsel Ahmednassir Abdullahi for purportedly maligning him via his Twitter handle.
The retired Chief Justice accused lawyer Ahmednasir of using his Twitter handle on the day he retired to post a disgraceful tweet implying that he knew of a corrupt Supreme Court Judge and did nothing.
The former CJ alleges that Ahmednasir’s post or tweet drew 565 comments, 381 retweets, and over 2,500 likes from his followers.

“The said post was circulated to other unquantifiable Twitter users by being ‘retweeted’ or ‘liked’ onto other users’ Twitter timelines. The said post is still on his Twitter handle and is accessible to millions of Twitter subscribers throughout the world,” he says in suits papers.
He alleges he is an elder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a position that requires a person of high moral character and unexceptionable integrity.
