Kisauni youths have been advised to avoid abusing drugs. The call comes after the KDF recruitment exercise in Kisauni and Likoni.
The Majority of the youths who turned up for the exercise were found to have traces of illegal drug substances in their bodies.
Mombasa County Senior recruiting Officer Lt. Cornel Benjamin Kiprop added that the turn out was good compared to previous years.
According to the head of the exercise Lt Benjamin Kiprop, the majority of the youths could not do the exercise due to drug-related causes.
A large number of the target recruits were left out following different reasons including having high grades compared to the D+(Plus) and below grade.
" We found out that the majority of the youths who turned for this recruitment exercise have elements pf drug abuse in their blood, " Col Kiprop said.
" Marijuana, Cocaine and Heroin elements were found on their bodies while undergoing normal body tests. People who have been using drugs should avoid coming for recruitments unless passing through rehabilitation centres for certification, " he added.
