"Will continue serving LSK until my term ends," LSK President Nelson Havi react on his impeachment

 

"I will continue to serve the Law Society of Kenya by all means until my term ends. Suspended members cannot impeach the President," LSK President Nelson Havi said.


The defiant Nelson Havi says he is set to continue serving LSK even after the suspension from dismissed members.


The cruel power struggle at the LSK continued on Monday after eight council members voted to remove president Havi.


"The eight suspended Council Members do not have the power to suspend President Nelson Havi," he said.


"That is a preserve of Members in a General Meeting. The ‘suspension’ is a nullity ab initio intended to conceal the theft of Society’s money. I continue to serve till the end of term on 24.3.2022."


Members Bernhard Ng'etich, Ndinda Kinyili, Faith Odhiambo, Riziki Emukule, Aluso Ingati, Beth Michoma, Carolyne Mutheu and George Omwansa were last month suspended from office during the society's special general meeting on January 18.
