Daniel Tauni, 55, from Mukhula Village, Navakholo, collapsed and died while eulogising his late wife

 

Daniel Tauni, 55, from Mukhula Village in Navakholo, Kakamega County died on March 19 while eulogising his late wife.


Mr Daniel Tauni went on stage at the podium to eulogise his spouse, Janet Koikoi, when he collapsed and later declared dead.

The event occurred at the couple’s home on Janet’s burial day.


Tauni was taken to Navakholo Sub-County Hospital, where he was confirmed dead shortly after admission.


The late’s relatives, Wilson Masike and Nuru Namsonge, said Tauni’s wife succumbed to TB difficulties last week.


After the sad incident on Friday, Tauni’s body was relocated to Webuye County Hospital morgue, as his wife’s burial proceeded, although with deep double grief.


It persists being unclear what prompted Tauni’s collapsing, which resulted in his demise.

His family members said the deceased had no history of heart problems.
