Kilifi Women Representative aspirant Juliet Riziki Baya, well known for her stage name as Kachachawa accused of defrauding a Kilifi Businessman Mohamed Baya Athman for a promise of securing a tender for him at Kilifi county offices.
On diverse dates between 21st of December 2020 and 5th January 2021, at a private place with the Republic of Kenya, Juliet Riziki Baya had an intent to defraud Mohamed Baya Athman Sh 1,495,000 pretending that she was in a position to engage constituency and county heads to obtain a tender from Ganze and Kilifi North sub-counties using fake award letters.
Juliet Riziki was accused of five counts including forgery, false pretence and false documentation at Malindi court.
Kachachawa was charged for defrauding the complainant by making a fake notification of the award of contract of Deputy Commissioner Kilifi North Sub-County purporting it to be a fact what it was not.
She was also charged with intent to defraud, knowingly and fraudulently uttered a forged document namely notification of award of a contract from Deputy County Commissioner Ganze sub-county.
The famously known Kilifi drama queen was arrested on 8th March and reported to Court on 11th March 2021.
She was freed on Sh 30,000 cash bail.
