Kiambaa MP Paul Koinange dies of COVID-19 photo

Kiambaa MP Paul Koinange succumbs to Covid-19 related difficulties.

He died at Nairobi Hospital where he was undergoing treatment on the wee hours of Wednesday.

The deceased MP was the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security.

President Uhuru Kenyatta mourned the death of MP as one of the country’s reliable leaders.

“His entire focus was the unity, stability and progress of the country,” the President said.

Koinange was a key figure in the campaigns for the building bridges initiative in Kiambu county.

Uhuru grieved him as a keen and constant supporter of the country's peace agenda through the House committee he chaired.

The President said the MP introduced legislation and policy interventions that attempted to create a peaceful, stable and reasonable nation.

“He prayed to God to give strength and courage to the family, relatives and residents of Kiambaa Constituency at this difficult time of mourning,” the PSCU said in a statement.
