Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) gazettes July 15, 2021, as the by-election date for the Kiambaa Parliamentary seat and Muguga Ward poll.
IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati says despite the situation in the country over the virus pandemic, the elections will go on as required by the constitution.
His team will adhere to the set protocols by the Ministry of Health.
The mini-polls comes after the death of the former Kiambaa MP Paul Koinange who succumbed to COVID-19.
Koinangewas a keen and steadfast supporter of the country's peace agenda through the National Assembly's Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security, where he was the chairperson.
