Mombasa prostitutes protesting photo

Mombasa Commercial S£x workers take to the Streets over ARV shortage. The commercial street workers and HIV-positive people in Mombasa have demanded that the government address the country’s antiretroviral drug shortage.

Prostitutes and people living with HIV in Mombasa went to the streets over the lack of ARV citing a quick intervention by the government.

There has been an underground row between USAID and Government where drugs halted at the KPA over clearance fees and tax wrangle.

However, KEMSA released some ARVs yesterday to be distributed in different centres across the country. The drugs worth over Sh 1 Billion will be distributed to all centres countrywide.

There has been a cry from the infected people that the state was playing sinister games with their life.
