Liverpool now wants to revive European competition as it plays host to Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon looking for a much-needed victory in their bid to finish in the top four of the Premier League table.
Jurgen Klopp's side was confined to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United on Monday night, keeping the club behind the likes of West Ham United and Chelsea.
Klopp has been in trouble over massive injuries. There have been several good players injured.
There has been a top-notch injury list making the team losing focus on European competition.
Henderson has been on the sidelines since the end of February due to a groin injury, however, it's still unclear when the England international will be available for selection once again.
Liverpool has been without Van Dijk since October due to a severe knee injury. The Netherlands international continues to make walks forward in his recovery, but it is unlikely that he will be able to figure for the first team before the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
