The suspect, Sergent Grace Nyamohanga, alias ‘Nasra’ who was arrested on Friday, May 21 has been operating the illegal business for 10 months.

“The rogue prison warder operates a mafia organization that recruits helpless job seekers, with the promise of job opportunities in top government parastatals and government security agencies including, Kenya Defense Forces, National Intelligence Service & the National Police Service,” a Saturday, May 22 statement from the DCI said.

The syndicate had also recruited other prison warders to expand the recruitment of job seekers from different education fields with the promise of securing them employment opportunities.

In a planned operation, the group of con artists composed of prison warders recruited by Nyamahonga managed to con a woman off her Ksh800,000 in the promise of securing three of her children jobs.
