Euro2020 on KTN network channels

Standard Group PLC channels and stations are set to air the exclusive football tournament as an official free to air broadcast partner of Euro 2020.

Kenyans will watch the Euro2020 European tournament free of charge at home on KTN Home, KTN News and listen live on Radio Maisha.

At the beginning of the year, the unveiling ceremony was held at the Standard Group headquarters along Mombasa road, where Standard Group CEO Orlando Lyomu said the media group comes into partnership with TV Media Sport.

“This has been enabled by our partnership with TV Media Sport, who are going to be our partners. They are a long time media partner for UEFA in sub-Saharan Africa,” said Lyomu.

The group CEO added that the deal is exclusive to the Standard Group and its platforms.

“The matches will be broadcast on KTN Home, KTN News, Radio Maisha and the digital platforms. This partnership will come with match highlights and daily analysis to make sure that everyone appreciates what we are offering,” added Lyomu.

However, KTN Senior Sports Editor Hassan Jumaa revealed his team’s passion to convey on Euro 2020 stating that they already have plans to roll out new shows that will be tailored towards the tournament.

“We are really happy to have Euro2020 with us and this is an impressive time for us as we will also get to interact with football fans,” said Jumaa.

A total of 24 teams qualified for Euro 2020. The tournament was initially set to be held in 2020 but due to the global pandemic, the organizers were forced to push it to June 2021.
