Kirinyaga County Chamber of Commerce Chairman Peter Waweru estranged wife roughed up on Wednesday afternoon after the young businessman and a close ally of Governor Anne Waiguru made a surprise visit to her Mombasa home.
Mr Waweru was accompanied by his new girlfriend and Laikipia County Women Representative Catherine Waruguru.
The two showed up unannounced and forcefully made entry into his wife's Zippy’s house in Mombasa claimed to be planning to evict her.
They roughed her up, tore her clothes apart and broke her mobile phone which she was using to record the unfolding incident.
A property valuer from Britam Insurance came with them to inspect the house under Peter Waweru’s instructions before its sale.
According to the scared wife, Mr Waweru plans to sell the house and render her homeless then thereafter take away their children.
In the viral images, Waruguru who concealing her face with a pink Buibui shawl as Peter Waweru’s estranged wife got into her car and drove away.
Reports that Waruguru had stolen Zippy’s husband first began doing rounds in late 2020 when the legislator broke up with her lawyer husband Kiprotich William Kiget after DNA results confirmed the children they had sired were not his.
In December Waruguru eventually broke her silence and finally admitted that the kids belong to Peter Waweru and the claims that she had seized the married Kirinyaga County Chamber of Commerce Chairman Peter Waweru and made him ignore his wife and kids in Mombasa.
