Famous North-Eastern legislator and politician from Wajir county, Ibrahim Abass dies at the airport waiting to be flown to Nairobi for medication.
The Member of County assembly of Eldas had other illness but as he was waiting to be jetted to Nairobi, he collapsed at the airport and died.
The President Uhuru Kenyatta sent message of condolence to the mourning family.
“The passing away of Mr Abass is a big blow to the people of Eldas Ward and Wajir County. The late MCA was a robust and progressive grassroots leader whose down-to-earth approach to leadership enabled him to provide practical solutions to challenges facing his constituents.” President Uhuru stated.
Deputy President William Ruto also sent his condolences.
