Big match ahead on Friday night, as Belgium encounter Italy in the Euro 2020 quarter-finals.

The duo gathers at Munich's Allianz Arena, with the Belgians currently rated the world's number one side, having not lost this year, while the Azzurri marked a new national record of 31 games triumphant in the earlier round.

Thorgan Hazard's remarkable first-half strike ended Portugal's leadership as European champions in Seville last Sunday to have their place in the quarter-finals of a fourth successive major tournament.

Hazard junior shattered the stalemate with his fourth goal in seven international debuts this year, but coach Roberto Martinez lost both Kevin De Bruyne and Thorgan's brother Eden Hazard to injury.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibault Courtois made a string of saves to seal progress.

Belgium has now won each of their last 14 matches throughout the qualifiers and these finals; equaling the record set by Germany and last-eight opponents Italy.

That mark must fall in Bavaria, as both nations seek a 15th consecutive success in the tournament - after following a perfect stripe in qualifying with four wins from four so far.

The Red Devils have also netted in every one of their last 34 games while winning 23 of their last 27.
