Mombasa County health workers on Monday went on strike across all hospitals citing haven’t been paid for two months.

The health workers – led by Kenya Union of Nurses Mombasa Secretary-General Peter Maroko and his Kenya Union of Clinical Workers counterpart Franklin Makanga – protested to Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho’s office.

The troubled workers promised not to return to work until their interests are addressed and salaries paid.

They affirmed that they will camp outside Governor Joho’s every day until decisive action is taken.

The county health workers refused to talk with the workers. They are yet to find an amicable solution.
