Governor Waiguru opens up about her husband Kamotho Waiganjo resuming as Kirinyaga first gentleman

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru reveals why she does not move around with her husband, lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo.

The Kirinyaga boss explained that he’s not a politician, therefore he’s taken a back seat on matters politics.

Speaking during an interview with NTV on Monday, Waiguru remarked that though her husband hardly features on her public engagements, he has fully presumed his duty as Kirinyaga County’s First Gentleman.

The controversial governor added that her husband helps her in the administration in numerous ways when called upon to.

“Anafanya kazi yake kwa upande wa First Gentleman. Hii wikendi kama first spouses, walikuwa na programme ya health amabayo walikuwa waanzisha mwezi wa Cancer, alikuwa chief guest na ma first lady wale wengine wote walikuweko, anafanya kazi yake vile anaweza kuisaidia county, lakini yeye sio mwanasiasa kwa hivyo hawi kule mbele,” she said.

About her marriage, Waiguru revealed that she is happy, adding that she’s added a few kilos ever since she got married.

Her glinting face and bright smile are indications that she is happily married.

“Nadhani ukiniona kwa sura utajua… Ukiniona kutoka ile siku nilifunga ndoa hadi sasa utaona nimeongeza kidogo,iyo ni kumaanisha nina furaha, ukiniangalia sura ya tabasamu, kwa hivyo ndoa ni nzuri,” she added.
