Tharaka-Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki gives suggestions that the 2022 General Elections be postponed due to drought in the country.

He argues that the government should use the money set aside for polls to buy relief food instead.

The country added that the economy has gone down, with people struggling and no food to put on their table.

The governor added that it will be wise to reconsider using over Sh 20Billion for a one day exercise than rescuing people.

The government has been recently struggling to feed its people after finding out that its stores may be depleted before March next year.
