Ole Gunnar sacked at Manchester United photo

Manchester United’s board agreed to fire Ole Gunnar Solskjær at an emergency meeting on Saturday night.

Joel Glazer, the co-chairman who heads the American family’s ownership, agrees to rubber-stamp the move.

The half-night meeting was called after the team’s 4-1 defeat at Watford.

Joel Glazer announcement will avoid depicting Solskjær as sacked and refer to a mutual agreement.

Reimbursement and other documentation were being heeded to after the board completed their discussions.

Ismaïla Sarr scored Watford’s second goal against Manchester United.

Solskjær acknowledged after a fourth defeat in five Premier League games that his team were “outfought” by Watford and had let the fans down.

The red devils boss insisted he was able to turn their fortunes around when given another chance.

The board disagreed, however, and agreed on to make a change.

The first-team coach, Michael Carrick, and the club’s technical director, Darren Fletcher – both successful former United players – are understood to be ready to take interim charge when Solskjær’s departure is verified
