Laikipia Woman stranded in Mombasa over his Facebook met boyfriend disappeared

Laikipia woman and her 4-year-old son spent their night at the Likoni police station after futile efforts to pursue a man who declared his love for her on Facebook.

According to Sara Wangui, she travelled from Nairobi to meet her lover of one month, who alleged to be a police officer at Likoni Police Station.

She met the man on Facebook. The alleged man was named Tom.

Tom failed to turn up to pick her from the Likoni police station where he had been informed he was stationed.

Wangui said that in a twist of events, Tom’s friend, whom she also professes to be a policeman had arrived at the police station and even tried to convince her that he would take her to Tom’s house.

“Tom’s friend who has been in communication with me ever since l become close to Tom came here and claimed he had been sent by Tom to pick me but I doubt, going by how he looks. He is so dirty,” she said.

However, on Saturday morning she called Tom who agreed to meet her but he was scared of picking her from the Likoni police station.

“I called him today at around 7:00 am and he told me that he was ready to meet me. l don’t know how to go about it, since am new here,” she said.

She further revealed that although she was ready to go back home, she needed to face Tom to ascertain how he would refund her Ksh85,0000 she had purportedly sent him through Mpesa to help the construction of rental houses.

“I want to go back home, but l need to see him face to face and ask him how l would get a refund of my money now that l have realized he is not a police officer at Likoni police station and that the photo he has been using on social media is of an officer attached in Garissa,” she said.

She further pleaded to Kenyans to help her travel back to Nyahuhuru.

The matter has been reported at Likoni police station under OB number 20/ 11/21.
