Singer Willy Paul becomes the current Kenyan celebrity to join the politics ahead of the 2022 General Elections.
Posting on social media, Willy Paul announced that he is on the move to vie for the Mathare parliamentary seat in next year’s general elections.
Willy Paul did not disclose the political party that he will use in his quest.
Paul now wants to kick out the current area MP Oluoch Anthony Tom of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
In his statement, the contentious artist pledged to furnish change to the people of Mathare if elected.
The sitolia hitmaker added that he is the change the people of Mathare need for a better change.
“Are you ready Mathare? Let’s bring that change,” he said.
Willy Paul joins a brook of celebrities who moved into the ring of politics. Some of those stars include comedians Jalango, MC Jessy, and actor OJ.
