Brentford vs Wolves at K24 EPL Maskani this Saturday 22nd January 2022

Wolves get a crucial upgrade ahead of the weekend’s battle against Brentford, as their star Ruben Neves returns to training.

The midfielder did not feature in the last weekend’s Premier League win over Southampton after testing positive for the global virus.

Goals from Raul Jimenez, Conor Coady and Adama Traore handed Bruno Lage’s side a 3-1 win over the Saints to move Wolves up to the eighth spot in the table.

Neves is among the key players for Wolves so far this season, beginning almost all league matches where he has been available.

Man United now want to poach after having an interest in the Portuguese international.

Wolves on Saturday travels down to London to battle Brentford.

Before the clash, Lage has been given a major boost, with the club publishing pictures of Neves back in training as practices step up for the weekend’s game.

The midfielder also shared on social media saying, “I’m back” along with snapshots of himself taking part in training, on his Instagram story.

Lage talked about Neves’ significance to the Wolves team ahead of last week’s battle against Saints.

“He’s very crucial, he’s a top player,” he said.

"We talked about him six weeks ago, and I challenged him to be better every day and to grow up defensively and understand he is a defensive midfielder,” he said.
