CAS Gideon Maitha resigns to pursue his gubernatorial bid ahead of August polls.
The former MP declared openly that his move was contributed by residents who pledged to support him in his bid.

Mung'aro will battle for the ODM ticket with other heavyweights including Kilifi Speaker Jimmy Kahindi and Amb. Dan Kazungu.
" Today I joined Devolution CS Hon. Charles Keter to appreciate and bid farewell to the Directors and other senior staff at the Ministry of Devolution as we both submitted
our resignations following the IEBC stipulations as we pursue our respective political ventures," he added.
" I also welcomed members of the media where I confirmed my interest in decisively running for the Kilifi Gubernatorial seat in the forthcoming General elections under the Azimio coalition.
" We are now fully going to be engaging the ground with a message of hope for a better Kilifi.
" Now it is time for serious business in Kilifi - a time to usher in visionary leadership.
" I thank His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta, for the opportunity to serve the people of Kenya during the second term of the Jubilee administration," he added.
