DP William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza rally in Kilifi destroyed by PAA hired goons

Kenya Kwanza alliance rally in Kilifi led by DP Ruto and Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi stopped after goons destroyed the event.

The perpetrators of the offence are said to be associated with the Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) party. 

According to news, PAA’s youth leader Samir Nyundo supervised the destruction illustrating that it was being held on his family land without formal permission.

Mr Nyundo is the Pamoja Africa Alliance (PAA) political party youth leader.

Mr Jonathan Charo Nyundo, who is also relative promised that the meeting would continue despite the chaos witnessed.

Kilifi North MP Owen Baya on Friday said the rally would proceed at the venue and accused local politicians of the complication.

“As the UDA family, we will host the rally here and the Deputy President and ANC and Ford Kenya leaders will attend together with over 40 members of Parliament,” he said. 

“There was an unfortunate event where hired goons demolished the dais and declared that there would be no meeting.”

Mr Baya said the family had authorized UDA to hold the rally exclusively.

“We talked to the family, and they graciously authorized us to hold the meeting here,” he said.

The MP alleged Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi that he was behind the event.

Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, who is in Nairobi, alienated himself from the destruction, adding that he has no involvement in disrupting a meeting of the DP and his proponents.

"If they have any issue, let them report to the police but they should not do it for cheap political propaganda. We have nothing to do with the event and we wish them well. They can hold their rallies anywhere they want," he said.
