Baringo Police officers on February 1, pursue with the arrest East African Legislative Assembly Member of Parliament (MP), Florence Jematia Sergon.

The legislature linked to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is implicated of making statements of hate speech and incitement.

Investigators found at Kabarnet summoned the MP to record a statement after she was caught on camera threatening to arm Baringo inhabitants to combat criminals.

Baringo is captive to banditry raids and numerous people have lost lives in the past months in shock attacks.

Her statements drew attention from other  politicians who instructed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to intercede.

"This is an EALA MP asking citizens in Baringo to buy guns and ammunition. Hon. Jematia has bent too low. I wish to warn leaders against pursuing elective seats by making such irrational announcements. Let's work for peace," West Pokot Senator and Leader of Majority in the Senate, Samuel Poghisio criticized the Legislator.
