Comedian Eric Omondi critise Nigerian artist Omah Lay over Tanasha Donna collabo song

Comedian Eric Omondi has chastised Nigerian artist Omah Lay for neglecting to collaborate with his claimed lover, Kenyan music diva Tanasha Donna, on a song.

On Saturday evening, Omondi told reporters that it was inappropriate for Omah Lay to travel to Kenya, remain for more than two weeks, and then leave without performing a song with Tanasha.

Omondi's outburst comes months after the Forever singer visited Kenya and stayed for almost two weeks, performing in a variety of events in Nairobi and Mombasa.

Omah Lay is thought to have been residing with Tanasha in one of Mombasa's hotels during this time.

Omah and Tanasha were seen sharing videos and images of the hotels in which they were both staying at the time.

"Omah Lay should not be allowed to stay in the nation for so long and then leave without working with a Kenyan musician," stated Omondi.

Omah Lay snubbing Tanasha and seeking collaborations with other foreign music singers such as Justin Bieber, according to him, is a sign of contempt.

"Omah Lay departed the nation and recorded a music collaboration with Justin Bieber, but Tanasha was left out."

"He spent two weeks in Mombasa with Tanasha.  Is it true that there are no studios in Mombasa? What is the worth of our money? "

Omah Lay visited Kenya and performed in Mombasa and Nairobi.

"He spent the money he earned in Kenya on his Justin Bieber duet," Omondi added.

The comedian's statement comes as he continues to press Kenyan music promoters to cease allowing international artists to play in the country while leaving indigenous artists out.

He has also petitioned for 75 percent of local material to be broadcast by the country's media.
