According to a report released on Wednesday, March 16, KRCS awarded Boma Inn Hotel, a subsidiary of KRCS, 69 percent of the procurement for conference facilities.

The UN-backed Global Fund revealed that Boma Inn was awarded the contract for conference facilities between 2018 and June 2021, rather than the other three lowest bidders.

“There were three lowest bidders but 69% of the tender worth KSh86million was awarded to Boma Inn without a competitive procurement process,” read the report.

After being taken away from Amref, KRCS is believed to have received KSh 14 billion in HIV/AIDS funding from the Global Fund.
