Takehiro Tomiyasu will miss Arsenal's next two Premier League matches against Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton, according to team officials.
Since the turn of the year, the right-back plunged by calf injuries and has now missed Arsenal's past six Premier League games.
Mikel Arteta stated that Tomiyasu was "near" to return for Monday night's 3-0 loss to Crystal Palace, but the right-back was not present at Selhurst Park.
"Takehiro will be back in full training following the match at Southampton on Saturday, April 16," the Gunners said in a medical update.
"Takehiro has good recuperation progress from a left calf muscle injury experienced in February. Takehiro had healed from a muscle ailment in his right leg experienced in January."
Another setback hit Gunners with an announcement that Kierney will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.
On Monday, Thomas Partey went off with a thigh issue.
This weekend, K24 TV will air Brighton VS Arsenal match live at EPL Maskani.
