Jesse Lingard Arsenal vs Manchester United game live in Kenya

Even though Arsenal is only three points ahead of Manchester United in the Premier League, Jesse Lingard has described the match as a "free hit."

After his side's humiliating 4-0 loss to Liverpool, the attacker, 29, spoke to the club's in-house media. And he appeared to imply that Saturday's game had no bearing on the standings.

"We're about to play a major game. We need to regroup quickly this week because Saturday is a big three-point game." Lingard stated to MUTV.

"It's another free hit, and we'll go in with the attitude of winning, remaining on the offensive, being intense, performing the basics, and having the energy to go win the game. Before you can begin playing, we must first put in a lot of effort.

"We'll put in a lot of effort this week. Because how we exercise mirrors how we play, we may boost the energy and intensity in training to aid in this."

United are now in the sixth position in the Premier League rankings, three points behind Arsenal, who have a game in hand after their loss at Anfield.

Though chances of a top-four finish appear remote at the moment, victories in both games would put the team back in contention for a Champions League berth.
