Evelyne Wanjiru, a Kenyan gospel singer, is overjoyed at the prospect of becoming a mother soon.
The singer took to social media to reveal that she and her husband Agundabweni had been dreaming of becoming parents for a long time, but it took a ten-year wait for the miracle to happen.
"Today, my heart is overflowing with happiness and thankfulness. My eyes are welling up with tears as I type this. In my marriage, I've been waiting for this season for ten years. God has fulfilled His promise in our life through a happy womb," she stated.
She shared her feelings with her spouse, who has been by her side during the ten-year wait.
"I pray for every couple that is on the verge of quitting up. Take a look at what the Lord has accomplished through us.
"Family and friends" I tell you, there's a big difference between being a father and being a DAD. Anyone may be a father, but it takes a special man to be a DAD. She said, "This man right here, @agundabweni, is a gift from God to me."
She went on to say additional encouraging words to everyone in the 'waiting season' to keep going.
"I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but I was desperate enough to wait for that promise to come true in my life. You don't get what you pray for; you get what you deserve.
"Because those who wait on the Lord are like Mt Zion, they will mount up with wings as eagles," says the artist.
"While we were waiting, we continued to sing praises to Him, to encourage others, and to ask God questions. Where have you gone?"
" How many more physicians do we have to see till then? Then I'd hear a voice say something. Encourage yourself. The sum of your Temptation and Blessings equals the sum of your Temptation and Blessings. So enjoy your battle because there is a Testimony after every Test and a Prize after every Victory," she concluded.
