After being sentenced of robbery with violence on December 5, 2021, Kikuyu gospel musician Samuel Mathenge Mwaniki, well recognized as Sammy Boy, is probably getting a maximum term of life imprisonment.

Sammy, who is well known for his Kikuyu song 'Noira Tu (it's just yesterday)', was caught in the middle in 2015 when he was discovered in possession of stolen goods left by a colleague in his home.

On December 2, 2021, his bond was revoked after he was actually convicted of robbery with violence and sentenced to life in the Naivasha Maximum Prison.

Gitahi Wa Nguyo, one of Sammy Boy's closest pals and a well-known radio host, has eventually exposed more about him.

"My friend, a family friend actually, left the goods in my house. There were several phones and other items. I was arrested because the goods were found in my care and they had been stolen from a foreigner in Gilgil," Sammy Boy speaking to Inooro TV also added that this was in 2015.
