On Wednesday, April 13th, there are two Champions League quarter-final second legs to look forward to, including the match between Liverpool and Benfica at Anfield.

The hosts have a 3-1 advantage over the visitors after the first leg in Portugal. Liverpool enters the game off the tail of a 2-2 Premier League tie against Manchester City over the weekend.

Liverpool had to come back from two goals behind in the encounter, and they were second best for much of the first half before improving in the second 45 minutes.

In all tournaments, Liverpool has gone unbeaten in their last six games. In those six matches, the team has won five times, including a 3-1 victory over Benfica in the first leg of this tie.

Liverpool has won eight of their previous nine Champions League matches, with their most recent home Champions League meeting against Inter Milan serving as the lone defeat.

In the Champions League, Liverpool has won three of their last five matches at Anfield. AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Porto have all been defeated. Last season, they also drew at home against Real Madrid in the tournament.

The Reds have scored two or more goals in three of their previous four Champions League home games, according to trends.

They have, however, surrendered goals in two of their previous four Champions League home games.

Benfica go to Anfield after defeating Belenenses 3-1 at home in the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Saturday. This puts them 15 points behind Porto, who now leads the standings in Portugal.

Benfica has won four of their past five Champions League games. Benfica had beaten Dinamo Kyiv at home and Ajax away before losing to Liverpool. There were also draws at home and away against Barcelona and Ajax.
