Rajab Abdul Kahali, also known as Harmonize arrested in Nairobi

Rajab Abdul Kahali, also known as Harmonize, a Tanzanian artist, has purportedly been apprehended in Nairobi.

He was supposed to depart Kenya on Sunday, but he was arrested after skipping multiple club engagements in Nairobi yesterday night despite allegedly receiving large quantities of money in bookings.

The money was allegedly obtained by Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi on the condition that the singer appear in clubs without the awareness of organizer Melamani Limited, who brought 'Konde Boy' to the nation.

Melamani Limited alleges to have been unaware of the artiste's appearance at the Afrika Moja Concert at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

The artist was unable to perform at a venue owned by a former Nairobi County official.

Despite receiving a payment of Ksh3 million, Konde Boy did not perform.

The 'Uno' hitmaker upset fans in Kenya after singing for less than five minutes in some of his performances.

"I paid Melamani Limited Ksh.450,000 for harmonize to come to the club for a celebration and to mingle with the fans for one and a half hours, but when he came, he just lasted for five minutes," Jor Barsil, a director at Captain's Lounge in Sabaki, Athi River, bemoaned.

Harmonize is being held at the Kileleshwa Police Station.
