Daniel Munene entered politics in 2017 and ran for the seat of Member of Parliament for Laikipia West.
Munene worked for the Energy World Corporation in the United Kingdom before leaving to enter politics.
It was a decision that, contrary to his expectations, had a negative impact on his life and riches.
Munene's story began in 2005, when he began working in the construction business after finishing his studies, and by 2011, he had landed a job at Energy World Corporation in the United Kingdom.
He said, "I worked at Energy World Corporation from 2012 to 2016, then returned back to the county and joined politics in February of that year."
He revealed that his income and benefits at the multinational were so good that he had KSh 30 million in his account when he chose to depart.
Munene further stated that, aside from politics, he used some of the funds to purchase land in Konza City.
