Bishop Muraya contacted his partner on various days between November 9 and 13, 2020, according to the accusation, and got the cash.

Bishop Muraya purported to be able to deliver anointing oil and Seth molecules to Bishop Mburu of another branch of the church in Thika, even though he was not.

Bishop Martin Muraya Sammy is believed to have paid Bishop Samwel Mburu Kerige Ksh 730,000 for anointing oil and Seth molecules.

In response, the accused Bishop alleges to be a victim of the same Cartels who defrauded his fellow flock, rather than the thief as claimed in the police report.

As a result, he rejected the charge's specifics before Milimani Law Courts Magistrate Micheni Wendy. Through his lawyer, the accused requested with the court free him on a modest monetary bail while awaiting the outcome of the case.

Nonetheless, the court discharged him on a Ksh 500,000 bond with a Ksh 300,000 cash bail option.
