Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka accuses RARUA over infidelity

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has left the UhuRaila-led Azimio group and will run as an independent member in the August 9 General Elections.

Following the departure of Azimio, the former Vice President announced Andrew Sunkuli as his running companion for the polls.

On Monday, May 16, Kalonzo made the statement in the presence of Wiper voted lawmakers and Kenya African National Union (KANU) chairman Gideon Moi, among other dignitaries.

While delivering the news, Kalonzo criticized Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga for allowing him to be passed over in the screening process, something he was not prepared to do this time.

" I wish Raila and his running mate Martha Karua well…The ticket will meet with overwhelming challenges,” said Kalonzo.

Andrew Sunkuli, who comes from the Kilgoris constituency, is the brother of former Kenyan ambassador to China Julius Sunkuli.

“My brother Raila knows I am naming my running mate. He came to my house to try and convince me to accept his choice. We did not agree and he said he would choose Martha and I told him I would choose my running mate,” Kalonzo said.
