All oil products, including gasoline, diesel, and cooking gas, have seen consistent price increases over the past few months due to the worldwide economic downturn brought on by the COVID-19 outbreak and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in Europe.
The monopoly of K-gas and Hashi has been broken by a new Tanzanian company called Taifa Gas, giving Kenyans a reason to celebrate.
Taifa Gas was granted a license by Kenya's ministry of energy and petroleum to develop a competitive advantage there.
Speaking to a local media outlet, the company's chief executive officer revealed that the 6 kg cylinder will be sold for Sh 1200 when it is filled for Sh 800 , a price reduction of 50% from the current market price.
