Chairman Wafula Chebukati released a statement after KPMG audited the voters' register.

IEBC says 22,120,458 voters have been uploaded for the August election.

Chairman Wafula Chebukati released a statement after KPMG audited the voters' register.

Chebukati said on Monday that 46,232 polling stations would be used.

The Elections Act says that the Commission has to send the documents to the National Assembly and Senate as well.

Chebukati said female voters are underregistered as 49.12% of those cleared to vote are female and 50.88% are male.

He also said 246,265 deceased voters were removed.

An audit shows 0.5% of eligible voters live in the diaspora.

"Following the guidelines, the Commission will evaluate its registration process to strengthen it by developing and implementing automated data input validation controls or exploring the possibility of using the IPRS database in the enrolment process," he added.
