At Makadara Law Court, where Julius Keti was prosecuted for unlawfully touching a DRC diplomat private parts without consent

At the Makadara Law Court, Julius Keti was prosecuted for unlawfully touching a DRC diplomat.

He was freed after posting a KSH 200,000 bond after contesting the allegations.

After being alleged of inappropriately touched a visiting Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) diplomat, a taxi driver in Nairobi is in hot water.

The envoy is said to have visited a meeting on May 30, and Julius Keti's business allegedly trusted him to drive her to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

The diplomat, known as KMB in court documents, was picked up by Keti on that unfortunate day at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies.

On their journey to JKIA, Keti is accused of stopping the vehicle on the side of the road, getting in the back seat, and caressing the woman's privates without her permission.

The diplomat was then pushed away by Keti after she had sat on his lap. The woman informed the Kenyan Embassy in the DRC about the occurrence.

At his arraignment at the Makadara Law Courts, the tax driver refuted the accusations.

He was freed on a KSh 200,000 bond or a corresponding cash bail. On September 1, 2022, the case will be heard in court.
