Police car in Kenya, Mombasa

On July 1, 2022, a police officer from the Kware Police Station in Embakasi was arrested in Mombasa for allegedly trying to rob a citizen a mercedes Benz.

On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, a public servant was the target of a police officer who had gone rogue. He was caught along with two other people.

Marube Harrison Biko, Fredrick Gateri, and Constable Hellen Wanjiru Wamweu were all arrested after they were said to have tried to rob a person on Mama Ngina Street in Mombasa.

Following the incident, the three made their getaway in a silver Mercedes, but cops soon tracked them down and captured them.

Police claim the suspects altered the vehicle's registration number.

They had switched the car's license plate from KDE 711Q to KCR 363R before being taken into custody. The police found Constable Hellen Wanjiru's handcuffs and a staff ID.

" When Mombasa County NPS officers followed them, they were able to flee in a silver Mercedes Benz KDE 711Q, but on July 30, 2022, at about 2202 hours, the police were able to capture them. Following a careful investigation, it was discovered that Hellen Wanjiu Wamweu's handcuffs and a certificate of appointment had been lost. "The car's license plate number had changed from KDE 711Q to KCB 363R," the police said.
