On September 7, 2018, the dead body of Lucy Ngendo Waitathu was found at the Studio Haven apartments located in the Uthiru neighbourhood.
The deceased was a student at the University of Nairobi, where she was pursuing her fourth year of a bachelor's degree in the arts when she passed away.
According to Peter Nguka, who serves as the chairperson of the Council of Governors of the University of Nairobi, the serious injuries that were found on Ngendo's body have been confirmed.
Ngendo's sister made a request to the investigators working for the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the National Police Service to speed up their inquiries into the case so that the person responsible for her death can be brought to justice.
She introduced herself by saying, "This is my younger sister, and I beg anyone who may have any information to come forward so that we may obtain justice."
